Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta, teased tech enthusiasts about some of the upcoming features of Emu (Expression Media Universe), Meta’s basic image generation model revealed in September.
In a blog post about Meta’s AI, the first announced tool, Emu Edit, is introduced as a platform with the power to “precisely alter images based on text inputs.”
For example, you can add a dog to an existing image, remove a person from an image, turn a dog into a panda, or change the background of the image.
Following the same line, Emu Video can generate “high-quality” videos based on text instructions. Other aspects of the image, including its style and setting, can also be changed.
Zuckerberg’s example shows how the image of a panda can be transformed into a video. He further stated that the company is “working on integrating these creative editing features into videos and photos for Facebook and Instagram.”
